A healthy lawn or garden is dependent upon proper soil pH levels (pH indicates the degree of acidity or alkalinity in the soil).
The Professional Soil pH Meter and Moisture Meter is an easy-to-use tool that will test your soil with accuracy to determine if soil acidity needs adjustment. Too much soil acidity is bad, while too little is bad as well.
No batteries are needed to power this soil acidity and moisture tester: it operates on the principle of electrical potential between two dissimilar metal plates. When inserted into moist soil, the meter registers the degree of acidity on the upper scale. The lower scale shows the degree of moisture when the switch button is held down. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14, and gives readings from 3.5 to 8, with 7 being a neutral value (the lower the pH, the soil is more acidic; the higher pH, the more alkaline).
Proper pH levels are critical to your garden soil, because certain nutrients that support growth cannot be dissolved in very acid or alkaline soil moisture. If they don't dissolve, they cannot be used for growth even if present in the soil. Normal beneficial soil bacteria that promote needed soil enrichment cannot survive in acidic or alkaline soil.
The Soil pH Meter and Moisture Meter is widely used by professional lawn care experts / companies, nurseries, farmers, and gardeners.
