The Portable Winch PCA-1291 Automatic Release can be used to free the rope from the pulley at the right moment, allowing the log to finish its path parallel to the trail without having to interrupt the job to remove the rope from the pulley.
An excellent accessory for small-scale foresters, this automatic release improves productivity considerably. The trigger is formed of a steel cartridge and a chain link. Both are free at the end of the rope while not in use.
For installation, position the link at the intended distance, complete a half turn with the rope, and insert it into the cartridge. This holds it into place without risking damage to the rope. Once placed in the pulley, the trigger's diameter removes the rope from the PCA-1270 Open Face Corner Block (sold separately). This allows the log to continue its trajectory and pivot along the trail for a smooth operation.
