Product Description
The Lesco 101186 High Wheel Fertilizer Spreader is the spreader of choice for professionals in the landscaping and lawn care industries, as evident from many of its features including a large 80 lb. capacity hopper and all stainless steel frame.
The high wheel spreader is commonly used for spreading fertilizer during spring, summer, and fall seasons, but it can work wonders when used in the winter for spreading salt or small particle ice melt on sidewalks and pathways, reducing the chances of slipping accidents occurring.
The Lesco fertilizer spreader is equipped with oversized tires, which measure 13 x 5.00-6, with rims that do not rust, increasing stability and providing easier applications on taller, thicker, and rougher lawns. The 5:1 gear ratio and enclosed gear set provides even product distribution while protecting the gears from dust and debris.
A manual deflector kit, which is designed to keep your fertilizer material in the desired area you only want it in by deflecting the material so it doesn't fall to the right side of the spreader, is included.

You get what you pay for. This spreader is quality. Our Parks & Rec. Department has a couple of these that we've had for 10 and 12 years. They hold up to many hours of use by many different employees. Parts are available for minor repairs. Best commercial spreader on the market.

Needed a new spreader, had a couple of cheap-o`s that didn`t last more that 4 or 5 yrs.. Needed a spreader, borrowed my brother`s Lesco that he uses in his landscape business and loved it. Carries 80 lbs easily and rolls with ease. Get to stand and walk at ergonomic height. I was sold and bought my own. It is pricey but well worth it. Rittenhouse has the best price around.

This is an expensive seed/fertilizer spreader. That's the downside. However, it should last a life time. It seems to be well engineered and very sturdy. I got the feeling that a real engineer put this package together. All of the nuts and bolts were precisely counted out. Assembly was easy. It will hold two 40 lb bags of pelletized lime. It has over sized tires on it that actually have zerk grease fittings on the bearings. All of the metal parts appear to be made of stainless steel so that they will not rust or corrode when they come in contact with fertilizer. It comes with a right hand side deflector mechanism. The gating mechanism is well designed and allows precise metering. I have used it with grass seed and lime so far and it works great. I would recommend this product.
