Designed for homeowners and professionals alike, this electric pruning shear is powered by a 14.4-VOLT Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery that offers you up to 12 hours of uninterrupted battery life. Three batteries are included along with a three-way battery charger to simultaneously charge all three batteries so you can accomplish a full day of work on a full charge. Each battery provides up to 4 hours of autonomy, so all three batteries will give you up to 12 hours.

The unique cutting blade on this electric pruning shear is manufactured by Felco specifically for Alpen. The cutting blade is made with HSS (high speed steel) material which retains its cutting edge three times longer compared to standard carbon steel blades for a higher-quality cut. The counterblade is made with carbon steel material with sap resistance to prevent sap from sticking up the blades. The progressive trigger allows you to control the blade during the cut and also has a semi-open mode or full open mode to suit your cutting application, whether it be small or large.

The Alpen Wildhorn 32 Electric Pruner can be set to multiple modes to suit your cutting application:

• Semi-Open Mode: the blade will automatically close fully once the trigger is pressed. This mode is useful while cutting smaller diameter branches. To initiate semi-open mode, keep the trigger pressed for two seconds until a double acoustic signal is heard. Release the trigger to continue working.
• Progressive and Non-Progressive Mode: the blade will move according to the position of the trigger in progressive mode. The blade will automatically close fully once the trigger is pressed in non-progressive mode. To switch from one mode to the other, turn-off the tool, then hold the trigger, and press the ON/OFF button for four seconds until a long acoustic signal is heard.
• Holster Mode: enables you to keep the blade closed without using the switch. Press the trigger and keep it pressed for four seconds. A double acoustic signal will be heard to indicate that the shears are in stand-by mode. To resume work, press the trigger twice quickly, causing the blade to move to the open position. The pruning shears will automatically switch to holster mode after three minutes without pressing the trigger. After 10 minutes of inactivity, the tool will totally be turned off.

When the electric pruning shears are turned on, the LCD screen will briefly display the number of cuts made since the tool has been built in the factory. After one second, the screen will display the number of cuts made since the last time the shears were turned on. The battery level in percentage is also visible on the LCD screen. The percentage number can fluctuate during use and will stabilize after few seconds of inactivity.

NOTE: The battery must be fully charged before storing it after the pruning season. After the pruning season, charge the battery every three months to avoid deep discharge. Clean the blade after use and store your tool in the provided storage case. It is also necessary to regularly oil your blade to keep it in pristine cutting condition.
