The Everflo EF1000 12-Volt Electric Diaphragm Pump is commonly found on agricultural sprayers and spot sprayers in operations that involve tree spraying, lawn and garden spraying, livestock spraying, fence spraying, boating applications, and fluid transfer applications.
This Everflo Demand Diaphragm Pump features a polypropylene pump housing and valve plate, along with internal Viton valves that can withstand use with a range of common agricultural chemicals used for weed, pest, and insect control. It is suitable to pump herbicides (RoundUp ready), liquid pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers, and more.
The need for a pressure regulator is non-existent with this pump, as it is equipped with a flow demand switch that turns the pump on and off automatically when flow is required, eliminating the need for a pressure regulator.
Take note that demand pumps require a balanced flow. If the nozzle used is too small, it may restrict the flow, resulting in your demand pump shutting off.
Important: Do not use the pump for other purposes after being used with pesticides because some residual may be present in the pump, even after it's been cleaned. These residual chemicals can greatly affect the performance of your pump in the future; for instance, spraying other liquids that are contaminated with residual pesticide can result in hazards to plant or animal life.
The AA122-1/2-PP-16 Line Strainer is recommended to use with this demand pump because it filters out contaminates that may run through your pump and cause damage.
